Color Match Guide
Match your bridesmaid dresses to the right bouquet palette. Pick your dress brand and color below to see the collection that coordinates closest.
If your exact shade isn't listed, that doesn't mean I can't match it. The list below covers the brands and colors brides ask about most — it isn't the limit of what I can build.
How Color Matching Actually Works
Send me a photo of the dress, a designer swatch, or just the color name, and I'll match to it. A photo in natural daylight is the most useful thing you can give me — dress colors photograph very differently under store lighting than they do outdoors.
Most bouquets don't match the dresses exactly, and they shouldn't. If the flowers are the identical shade as the dresses, the bridesmaids blend into their own bouquets in photos. What works better is a palette that sits close to the dress color with contrast built in — lighter blooms, deeper accents, or greenery to separate the two.
Silk dye lots vary slightly between production runs, the same way fabric does. I'll tell you up front if a specific shade is going to be difficult rather than promising something I can't deliver. Some colors — true reds, deep purples, and anything very saturated — are harder to match consistently than blush and neutral tones.
Getting the Match Right
- Send a daylight photo. Store and screen lighting shift color badly. A photo of the actual dress outdoors tells me more than a brand color name does.
- Match the palette, not the exact shade. Bouquets that are slightly lighter or deeper than the dresses photograph better than an exact match.
- Decide your bridal bouquet first. The bridal bouquet usually sets the palette, and bridesmaid bouquets step down from it in scale and tone.
- Screens lie. The same color looks different on every monitor and phone. If precision matters, a physical swatch beats anything digital.
